Richard A. Bendis
President and CEO, True Product ID, Inc.
 

Mr. Bendis has distinguished himself as a successful entrepreneur, corporate executive, venture capitalist, investment banker, and consultant in the technology and healthcare industries. He currently serves as President and CEO of True Product ID, Inc., a global, publicly traded technology company (NASDAQ, TPDI) headquartered in Philadelphia.


Most recently, Mr. Bendis founded and served as the first President and CEO of Innovation Philadelphia, a public/private partnership dedicated to growing the wealth and workforce of the Greater Philadelphia Region. Innovation Philadelphia manages an umbrella of programs under four distinct areas: Direct Equity Investment/Financing Assistance; Technology Commercialization; Global and Regional Economic Development; and Market Research and Branding. Rich will continue to serve on the Innovation Philadelphia Board of Directors. Prior to Innovation Philadelphia, he built the Kansas Technology Enterprise Corporation (KTEC). As its President and CEO, he developed KTEC into a globally recognized model for technology based economic development.

 

Kevin S. Fiur

Of Counsel, Bailey Perrin & Bailey

 

Kevin is responsible for the firm's Intellectual Property practice. He represents technology companies, academic institutions and individuals in a variety of matters, including licensing negotiations, patent infringement disputes and intellectual property commercialization and protection strategies. Prior to BPB, Kevin was CEO and Director of Seitel, Inc., a NYSE company specializing in acquiring, storing and managing data for the oil and gas industry. He started his professional career as a litigator with Baker, Botts LLP.

In addition to his current responsibilities at BPB, Kevin is President and CEO of CapTech, an Intellectual Property Fund located in Houston, Texas. Kevin holds a JD from the University of Texas School of Law, an MBA from St. Edwards University and sits on the Advisory Boards of the University of Texas (Austin) College of Natural Sciences and the Houston Technology Center.

 

Bernard Harris, MD

President and CEO, Vesalius Ventures

 

Vesalius Ventures is a venture capital firm focusing on telemedicine and information technology companies. Selected by NASA in January 1990, Dr. Harris became an astronaut in July 1991. He served as the crew representative for Shuttle Software in the Astronaut Office Operations Development Branch. A veteran of two space flights, Dr. Harris has logged more than 438 hours in space. He was a mission specialist on STS-55 (April 26 to May 6, 1993), and was the Payload Commander on STS-63 (February 2-11, 1995).

Bernard is an Associate Professor in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch; an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine; a clinical professor at the University of Texas School of Medicine; and is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas School of Public Health. He is a member, Board of Regents, the Texas Tech University Health Science Center and a Fellow, American College of Physicians.

 

Mark W. Montgomery
Senior Vice President, Bank of America

During his 22 year career with BofA, Mark has substantive experience in risk mitigation, structured finance, special assets and business development. He is a graduate of the University of Texas and active in community involvement.

 

Joseph Pramberger

President, Associated Business Publications International

 

Associated Business Publications International specializes in print and electronic products for technical professionals. Joe serves as publisher of NASA Tech Briefs, America’s largest circulation design engineering magazine. He has led the development of numerous successful product start ups, including the U.S. Air Force’s Technology Horizons magazine, Photonics Tech Briefs and Nanotech Briefs – a digital publication covering the latest advances in nanotechnology. A graduate of Fordham University’s School of Journalism, Joe has co-authored an award winning book, chronicaling achievements in space science and technology.
