Michael E. Fitzgerald

Mike Fitzgerald is a founder of Technology Tree Group, and leads the team’s efforts as CEO.  Mike is a seasoned angel investor and has coached numerous start-up teams to funding.  Mike has served as Senior Vice President at Chase Manhattan and Chemical Banks, Managing Director of Continental Bank, and Vice President of Citicorp Investment Bank. 

In industry, he has worked as Vice President of Business Development at American Electric Power Energy Services; as Domestic and International Treasurer for Motorola, Inc.; and in financial restructuring for GATX Corporation.  He also worked for Deloitte, Haskins and Sells, now Deloitte & Touche. 

Mike holds a B.S. in Accounting and CPA from the University of Illinois, and a M.B.A. in Finance and International Business from DePaul University.  He is a member of The Rice Alliance and the Houston Angel Network; President of KRN Advisors, a private equity consulting firm; and President of Fitzgerald, Holdren & Company, a regional, middle market Investment Banking firm.  Additionally, Mike is an adjunct professor at the University of Houston Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
